Phi Beta Kappa key

Love of learning is the guide of life.

The society's motto sums up the reasons to be a member.

Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's oldest and most respected undergraduate honor society, embraces learning through the liberal arts and sciences. Local chapters, such as the one at Colorado State University -- Delta of Colorado -- invite to membership many of today's most outstanding students.

Invitations are issued in the spring of each year to seniors and juniors meeting defined criteria. A mark of distinction, being a member of Phi Beta Kappa defines a person as having siginificant educational achievements.
